Combining quantitative analysis with direct market engagement, the team turns data and market developments into clear insights and high-quality publications. Its work covers capital markets, private equity, financial services, infrastructure, mining and metals, digitalisation and other sectors relevant to Kazakhstan and the wider region. What You’ll Do As a Senior Manager in the Industry Analysis Department, you will lead analytical projects that examine important developments across Kazakhstan’s various sectors financial sector, investment environment and priority industries. You will take ownership of individual research workstreams and, where required, manage end-to-end delivery of major analytical reports. This includes defining the analytical approach, structuring the work, coordinating contributors, engaging stakeholders and ensuring that outputs meet the department’s quality standards. Your responsibilities will include: – Leading the preparation of industry reports, market reviews, thematic studies and analytical briefs under the AIFC Insights platform – Structuring complex research questions and developing clear analytical approaches, hypotheses and workplans – Conducting sector analysis, benchmarking, trend assessment and evaluation of market opportunities and barriers – Analysing and validating quantitative and qualitative data from exchanges, financial institutions, , international databases and market participants – Assessing market structure, performance, competitive dynamics, regulatory developments and investment trends – Translating analytical findings into clear conclusions, strategic implications and practical recommendations – Reviewing analytical outputs and providing methodological, editorial and quality assurance support to junior team members – Designing and conducting interviews, surveys, expert consultations and roundtable discussions with senior market participants The work is varied and often involves several projects progressing simultaneously. You will be expected to work independently, manage competing priorities and maintain high analytical and editorial standards under tight deadlines. Required Qualifications: – 3 to 7 years of relevant professional experience in management consulting, strategy, investment, market intelligence or industry analysis – Demonstrated experience in leading analytical projects or managing substantial project workstreams – Experience supervising analysts, junior colleagues, interns or external contributors – Advanced quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities, including market sizing, benchmarking, financial and economic analysis and interpretation of complex datasets – Proven ability to develop evidence-based conclusions and communicate their strategic implications – Project management skills, including the ability to plan work, coordinate contributors and deliver high-quality outputs within agreed timelines – Excellent written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convert complex analysis into clear and engaging reports – Proficiency in PowerPoint, MS Office; experience with analytical, statistical or data visualisation tools would be an advantage – Professional fluency in English and Russian; proficiency in Kazakh would be a strong advantage – High standards of analytical accuracy, professional judgement and attention to detail – Ability to take ownership of complex assignments and drive them from initial concept to final publication – Structured and organised approach, combined with the flexibility to adapt when project priorities change – Strong commitment to delivering high-quality results – Collaborative working style and willingness to support the development of junior team members – Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary and stakeholder-intensive environment – Strategic mindset with the ability to connect detailed analysis to broader institutional and economic objectives
