Job Purpose: We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage the accounting, tax compliance, banking, and day-to-day financial operations of our Kazakhstan entity. The role will serve as the key local Finance contact in Kazakhstan, working closely with Finance Team in UAE while coordinating with local banks, auditors, tax advisors, customers, vendors, and relevant authorities. The ideal candidate will combine strong knowledge of Kazakhstan accounting, commercial and tax regulations with hands-on accounting experience and strong communication skills. Key Responsibilities · Manage day-to-day accounting activities and maintain accurate and complete accounting records in accordance with Kazakhstan regulations and company policies. · Perform monthly bank, customer, vendor, and balance sheet reconciliations. · Ensure compliance with applicable Kazakhstan accounting, tax, and commercial regulations. · Prepare and coordinate Corporate Income Tax, VAT, withholding tax, payroll-related taxes, and other applicable statutory filings. · Coordinate with external tax advisors and relevant local authorities when required. · Manage day-to-day relationships with local Kazakhstan banks. · Issue and monitor customer invoices and maintain accurate accounts receivable records. · Follow up directly with customers on outstanding payments and overdue balances. · Review supplier invoices and supporting documents before processing. · Communicate directly with vendors regarding invoices, statements, payments, and reconciliation issues. · Maintain strong working relationships with local auditors, banks, advisors, and relevant authorities. · Support with documentation related to intercompany charges, cost allocations, transfer pricing, and cross-border transactions. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably including experience at Senior Accountant level. Strong practical knowledge of Kazakhstan accounting, tax, and commercial legislation. Strong knowledge of local statutory reporting and compliance requirements. Hands-on experience with VAT, Corporate Income Tax, payroll taxation, withholding tax, and other Kazakhstan tax requirements. Proven experience dealing with Kazakhstan banks and banking procedures. Experience working with local external auditors and tax advisors. Experience communicating and reconciling accounts directly with vendors/Customers Experience with foreign-currency and international transactions is preferred. Good knowledge of IFRS. Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems. Language Requirement: English – Fluent Russian – Fluent Kazakh – Fluent
