Areas of responsibility: Planning, organizing, and coordinating transportation logistics across the Caspian Sea, including shipment control, cargo tracking, and prompt resolution of operational issues. Liaising with and supervising contractors, carriers, shipping lines, ports, terminals, customs brokers, and maritime agents to ensure sufficient capacity and the timely, safe, and high-quality delivery of cargo. Monitoring transit-time SLAs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining transportation safety standards. Optimizing transportation routes, cargo consolidation, repacking, and transshipment schemes, while improving transportation profitability and reducing logistics costs. Participating in the budgeting process for the Aktau office, monitoring budget execution, and controlling operating expenses. Monitoring accounts receivable and accounts payable related to clients, contractors, and carriers. Managing the operations team, including task allocation, performance monitoring, employee training, and professional development. Preparing transportation and operational reports, analyzing market trends, developing relationships with clients and partners, and implementing initiatives to expand business activities in the region. What do we expect: At least 5 years of experience in logistics, including multimodal, maritime, or port transportation, as well as experience managing operational teams. In-depth knowledge of logistics processes, maritime and port operations, and regulatory requirements and safety standards related to freight transportation. Proven experience in building and maintaining effective relationships with carriers, shipping lines, ports, terminals, customs brokers, shipping agents, and other contractors. Strong skills in planning, controlling, and optimizing transportation operations, including management of transit-time SLAs, transportation profitability, operational costs, and accounts receivable and payable. Experience participating in the preparation and execution of departmental budgets, operational reporting, and data-driven decision-making based on key performance indicators (KPIs). Proficiency in logistics software, Microsoft Excel, and other operational reporting and analytical tools.
